There was a young man who you know he wanted to succeed. So he found the guru who he regarded as an icon and told the guru, “You know I wanna be on the same level you on.”

曾经有一个年轻人，他渴望获得成功，所以他找到一位大师，告诉对方：“我想成为像您一样成功的人。”

And the guru said, “If you wanna be on the same level I’m on, I’ll meet you tomorrow morning, at the beach.” So, the young man got there at 4 am.

大师说，“如果你想成为像我一样成功的人，明天早上来海滩见我。”于是那个年轻人凌晨四点的时候就到了。

The guru grabs his head and said, “How much do you wanna be successful?” Young man said, “I really want to!”.

大师摸着他的头问：“你有多想成功呢？”年轻人回答道：“非常想！”

The guru said, “Walk on out into the water”. So, he walks out into the water. When he walks out into the water it goes waist deep, so he’s thinking, “this guy is crazy! I just wanna be successful, but he’s got me out here swimming. I don’t want to be a life guard! ”

接着大师让他走下水，所以他就走进海里。海水差不多淹到年轻人的腰时，他心想：“这个大师是疯子！我只想成功，他却让我在这儿学游泳。我可不想成为一个救生员！”

The guru got the meaning, so he said, “Come out a little further”. Young man walked out a little further till the water was almost over his shoulders.But the guru said, “Come out a little further! Further!”.

大师察觉到这一点，就对年轻人说：“再走远一点。”然后年轻人又走远了一些。这时候海水差不多已经淹到他的肩膀了。而大师却一直在说：“再走远一点！再远一点！”

Now the water was almost over his mouth.” At this point, the guru stopped the young man. So the guru asked, “Do you still want to be successful?” “Yes, I do !” The young man said.

现在海水已经快要淹没他的嘴了。此时，大师让年轻人停下，问道：“你还想成功吗？”年轻人回答道：“是的！”

The guru came, dropped his head in, held him down, dropped his head in. The man kicking and scratching. Just before young man was about to pass out, he raised him up.

这时，大师走了过来，把他的头按进水里，再提起来，再按到水里。年轻人拼命挣扎，就在他快要窒息的时候，大师把他拎了起来。

The guru said, “When you want to succeed as bad as you wanna breathe, then you’ll be successful.”

大师告诉年轻人：“当你对成功的欲望足以与对呼吸的欲望媲美的时候，你就会成功。”

I do not know how many of you all have asthma in here today. If you’ve ever had an experience where you don’t feel enough, you'll breathe and gasp like this. At this time, the only thing you’re trying to do is get some air. When you get to the point where all you wanna like to be is successful as urgent as you would want to breathe, then you will be successful!

However, the most of you say you want to be successful, but you don’t want it urgent, you just kind of want it. You don’t want it more importance than you would like to go party, you don’t want it as much as you wanna play computer games, most of you don’t want success as much as you want to sleep!

好多人都说自己想要成功，其实你们并没有那么迫切想成功，只是有点儿想而已。你们对成功的渴望比不上对聚会的渴望，比不上对游戏的渴望，甚至比不上对睡觉的渴望！

If you’re going to be successful you’ve got to be willing to give up sleep. If you really want to be successful someday, you’re going to have to stay up for three days in a row! Because if you go to sleep you might miss the opportunity to be successful. That's a test how much you want to be successful.

如果你想成功，你就要放弃睡觉的权利。如果你真的很想在将来的某一时刻成功，你要做到连续三天不睡觉！因为如果你去睡觉，你可能会错过成功的机会。这正是考验你有多想成功的时刻。

You even want to be successful so urgent that you forget to eat. Beyoncé said once she was on the set, doing her thing. Three days has gone by, she forgot she didn't eat, because she was engaged.

Remember forever! Don’t cry and quits! You’re already in pain, you’re already hurt, hold on a moment to get a reward from it! Don’t go to sleep until you succeed!

永远记住：不要哭着放弃！你已经感受过疼痛，你已经受过伤，再坚持一秒钟，去争取得到奖赏吧！成功之前不要睡下！
